I know I’m not alone here — my Kitchen Pinterest board is full of white kitchens.  Timeless, classic, beautiful, I am literally obsessed.  But what I find myself even more drawn to?  White kitchens with contrasting dark floors.

I love the curvy backsplash in this kitchen, and the matching countertops.  Seamless design!  Plus, give me a farmhouse sink and I will always be happy.

I’m crazy about the natural light in this kitchen — can you imagine yourself making breakfast, coffee, brunch, etc. in this kitchen with those sweet rays coming through?  There’s something so French about this space, too.  I love it.

A really nice galley kitchen.  I am not mad at this.  And beautiful black-trimmed doors that lead out into what looks like a garden???  *Sigh*

Okay.  Can we just stop for a minute and appreciate how amazing this is.  This is what one of my interior design teachers would have called “murdered out” in school.  It’s definitely not for everyone, but I honestly just find this the epitome of glam.  This is the kind of design that excites me and makes my heart beat faster.

I’m usually one for the oversize variety when it comes to kitchens, but how cute is this?  I love this for a beach cottage, you know? Love that faucet so much, and the matching hardware ties it all together.  Also, butcher block.  Yes, yes, yes.

This is a very sexy kitchen!  All sleek and smooth, with the subtle curvature of the stools.  Black and white.  It’s really something, isn’t it?  I love the pop of green from the outdoors that is carried in with the apples.  Great styling.

Wow wow wow.  That island!  And that stove!  And that fact that it opens up into a perfectly lovely sitting area!  Love this so much — everything about it.  I also really am drawn to the hardware on the cabinets.  Kind of sharp and angular to add some masculinity to the kitchen.

This is one of those kitchens that I keep going back to.  It’s definitely one of the images that I file away for “someday…” when we build.  I love that the cabinets aren’t stark white.  They’re sort of buttery and really fresh.  The juxtaposition with the flooring and the countertops isn’t lost on me, and I’m sure it’s not lost on you, either — it’s one of the reasons this design works so beautifully.  And having a couple of cabinets with glass fronts are great for displaying pretty pieces of serveware.  I really think this is my favorite.  🙂

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Maria
